Onyx Beanie

The ONYX BEANIE is the skull cap equivalent of the balaclavas that Alpinestars F1 athletes wear to protect their head, neck, and face from the ever-present danger of fire. The ONYX is constructed from deadstock LENZING™ FR, an innovative, sustainably produced viscose fiber that provides exceptional flame resistance and protection against heat transfer. The auto-racing inspiration extends into the construction with overlock topstitching, which is also borrowed from the race-worthy balaclavas. For an added ode to racing (this time of the two-wheeled sort) the crown of the beanie is embellished with deadstock carbon fiber knuckle protectors that have been borrowed from Alpinestars performance motorcycle gloves.
